45 Minute Ideation
Ideation is the process of forming and relating ideas. It is a concept utilized in the study of new product development, creativity, innovation, design thinking, and concept development. The term “ideation” is often used interchangeably with “brainstorm.”
Design thinking is a process for practical, creative resolutions of problems or issues, seeking an improved future result. Unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a creative process based around the “building up” of ideas. There are no judgments in design thinking. This eliminates the fear of failure and encourages maximum input and participation. Design thinking encourages outside-the-box thinking, which can often lead to creative solutions.
Design for manufacturability (DFM) is the general engineering art of designing products that are easy to manufacture. While the basic idea exists in almost all engineering disciplines, the details differ widely depending on the manufacturing technology.
During the 45-minute ideation session, the inventor has an opportunity to sign an official confidentiality agreement, demonstrate their idea, and formally ideate with Hybra’s top-level thinkers. The goal is to detail the projects impregnable points, enervated points, and the current problems the project aims to solve. In addition, Hybra will work through the various project roadblocks or questions presented. Upon closure of the meeting, the inventor will have a basic idea whether Hybra wishes to pursue the project. If all parties agree the project is worth pursuing, the project will be inserted into the Hybra process plan matrix.
